This is the heart of ACAZ which administers everyday business and affairs of the Advocacy. It is coordinated by the Secretary General who ensures that the acts and deeds of the Secretariat facilitate the achievement and furtherance of the purpose of ACAZ. While the Secretariat Staff is suppose to be contracted and remunerated, it is at the moment working on voluntary basis because the Advocacy is still not in a position to pay its officers.
ACAZ has launched an ambitious resource mobilization campaign to ensure that the Advocacy may be able to sustain itself. The Advocacy realises the potential it has within itself to generate resources through the arts and culture related activities. This potential however can only be unleashed if a well organized forum is generated and the basic securities are put in place.
Among other priorities, ACAZ is currently working towards securing sound systems and its related technologies for its power pact events and secretariat. At the same time, it is pressed with the urgent need to have its own premises for the Secretariat and Theatre. These have been put as chief priorities because they are currently claiming 98 percent of ACAZ budget in terms of rentals.
ACAZ is thus calling upon volunteers and well wishers to join this ambitious expansion plan to see the Advocacy stand on its own and take the Zambian and Africa in general arts and culture to another level.
