In the Culture and Arts Sector:
* Established cultural and artistic forums for the promotion, protection and preservation of works of art that are reflective of local cultural contexts and in local languages other than English.
* To promote inter-cultural and cross-cultural peace awareness and world culture diversities among youths, artists, culture practitioners, professionals and local communities, ACAZ and its affiliate cultural and arts Societies successfully organizes the “Black History Month Festival” in Universities and colleges. This Festival has been already held thrice through the years of 2008, 2009 and 2010, and the next one is scheduled for February 2011 with support from the National Arts Council of Zambia.
* Focused on a Culture of Peace for local sustainable development, organised INSAKA Music and Poetry Shows in Lusaka (2008) supported by the French Alliance Francaise through its Reunion Island Cultural Affairs Director, Judith Kaloune.
* In June and November 2009, at Lusaka Theatre Club and ARCADES Amphitheatre respectively, launched a series of 2010 Word Up Weekly Shows and Seminars conducted at Lusaka Theatre Club since June 2010 for training young artists and through performance arts entertain and sensitise the general public on many issues including corruption, HIV/AIDS, malaria and a culture of peace.
In the Education Sector:
* Held groundbreaking Arts and Culture Workshop for High Schools in 2005 Lusaka under the theme Healthy Zambian Schools Free from HIV/AIDS, Corruption and Abuse.
* Launched a poetry book, ‘Songs from my Soul’ by Gankhanani Moffat Moyo in the summer of 2008. The launch has been held by most as the best book launch ever by a young Zambian writer.
* In 2010, supported the establishment of the Centre for Arts and Press Society and sponsored the first 2010 GB8 Arts and Culture Awards under the theme ‘Each One Teach One Support the Next One’ at Nkulumashiba High School in Luanshya for the promotion of culture and arts and press clubs in high schools for education sharing, entertainment and sensitisation.
